I cant believe 2 months have already gone by….
but I guess this time of year its not that surprising , only now I finally have the time to share with you a glimpse into my visit to Etsy offices on October.
Where do I start ? I guess at the beginning ,
as an addicted etsian (since 2008) and since etsy is the main reason My Yoola business was able to make its breakthrough,
it was only natural I try and stop by when I get to NYC, which unfortunately doesn’t happen very often.
Lucky enough, the etsy team were extremely friendly and welcoming, and organized a little tour for me .
I arrived there on a Thursday afternoon , yes…. you guess right , I was also attending a craft night, yayyyy :)
I was warmly greeted by Bernadette , etsy’s customer support director, wow, how important I felt :)
I obliviously can’t cover everything , but here is a glimpse .
This is how the entrance to this magical world does look like,
it's not only in the blog, it's for real !
a dramatic green corridor with hanging plants from both sides.
The separating wall in the entrance , its HANDMADE ….
of felt , I was told the team commissioned to make it ,
worked there for hours and days to complete it.
Other then being very pretty and decorative, it also lets light pass through and
helps absorbing some of the inevitable open space acoustics.
This charming carton creature is placed in the entrance ,
I was told his name but I just cant remember…
here it is decorated in the spirit of Halloween.
told you it was October, it changes with the season and the occasion.

Etsy employees dont have phones at their desks …..
they have 3 telephone booths to when they do need to make a call,
I was told that the most popular one is the one on the left,
they were all commissioned from etsians.
Behind these curtains there is a lobby , in which
etsy employees can go work in a more relaxed environment,
desk free, sort of a lounge.
