September Live aired at the beginning of the month!
Yeyyy for me for taking on such a commitment !
I’ve been practicing wire crochet for so many years that no one can doubt my dedication, my heart is completely in jewelry making. But committing to something I’ll be doing every single month is new for me. Even my live workshops are usually set only a month ahead. I’ve always said I take things one month at a time.
That’s why filming this month’s Live was such an amazing afternoon. Honestly, I enjoyed it sooooo much! At first, I was a little nervous, unsure how it would flow, but I chose to simply create alongside you, share my thoughts in real time, show my mistakes as they happened, and let you be part of both the creative process and the making. No edits, just the real thing.
Back in August, during the very first "LIVE" filming, I worked on a custom Cleopatra cuff , something I’ve made so many times I could probably guide you through it in my sleep. This time, though, I invited you into an idea that had been sitting in my head for a while. It felt so exciting to finally explore it together through wire crochet and to speak out loud the thoughts that usually stay inside my head.
And the most exciting part? After two weeks, that idea matured into a finished design that I’m visually very happy with. Jewelry making is often about patience, and seeing this come to life felt so rewarding.
In the "LIVE", I explored working directly on this collar in three different techniques. The result is the three elements you now see on it in the image below, all born through the magic of wire crochet inthe ISK technique.
& today, tadam ! it led me to making this wire crocheted arches collar necklace ! which I totally LOVE !
