If you’re anything like me, always hungry for new wire shades, this post is for you.
Unfortunately, wire producers rarely add new colors to their collections. As sad as that is, I totally get it: developing a new formula is expensive, and every added color means more inventory to manage. If you also offer multiple wire sizes, things get complicated (and costly) fast.
So… I came up with a little workaround that I’m happy to share with you.
Think of it as mixing paint to create your own custom shade. 🎨

This is actually an old trick of mine that I had completely forgotten about, until last night, when I saw a dance performance. The dancers wore stunning bright indigo outfits, and instantly I thought, “I wish I had wire in that shade!”
Sure, I could probably find one online, but I wanted something quicker, and I already have quite an impressive wire collection to play with!
If you’ve been holding your breath waiting to hear the trick, you can breathe again, it’s super simple:
👉 I use two shades of wire together, as if they were one.
There are two distinct effects you can get:
Jeans Style, achieved by combining two very different shades. (That’s a topic for another day!) see samples below ;)
I go into more detail and show examples of these trials in this month’s LIVE session which will air really soon.
Subscribers will get a notification once it’s available to watch.

While filming it I thought this could be a nice group activity for the YoolaISK group on facebook, experimenting together with this effect, check the group for more news about it HERE.
