A couple of weeks ago I got a nice email from someone telling me he knows how much his mom likes my jewelry and that he would like to buy her my pod hoops with a matching necklace, he knew exactly what shades size etc. He told me it's for her 50'th birthday.
He also wrote me he was really busy and it would be the easiest for him to pick it up from the museum shop close to his house, where he knows my jewelry are on display.
Naturally I imagined a 20 something young man, so I wrote him back that if the specific items are not available there the easiest thing to do would be to buy it online and get them directly to his mail box.
At this point I got a very surprising email,..... He wrote me he is too young to have a credit card, that he was only 14 years old and his dad would phone to finalize the payment . I was SO surprised ! I have 2 14 year old at home myself so it made me even more touched.
During the weekend I got a wonderfu update from him telling me the birthday took place last week and the present was a BIG SUCESS.
/Sigh/ The End ! :) isnt it just wonderful where the "internet life" takes us ?
For some time now I've been on a hunt after rose gold tube clasps for my YoolaCuff , a wire crocheted bracelet cuff. I dont think there is one etsy seller I didnt nag about this, plus all loacl supply shops I know. and finally yesterday just before I was about to give up and send for plating in rose gold my usual yellow gold filled clasp, i found them !!!!! they are just slightly shorter but they are perfect.
I started the hunt for one very dear client that eventually settled for orange wire cuff with yellow gold filled clasps, which turned out stunning ! and continued for another dear client that will I'm sure appreciate the results of my hunt, both already have YoolaCuff in other colors :) one in silver and one in yellow gold.
But to be honest the one that would be the most happy would be me..... because along the search I developed a strong MUST HAVE for a rose gold cuff of my own......
In order to help myself let go of my crocheted wire jewelry I sometimes take photos that are more artistic and less descriptive, if i cant have the jewelry at least i can have the memory.
The image above that I call sea of crocheted gold wire was taken thanks to having to make M A N Y crocheted gold drops with a pearl.
I like the impact of multitudes, it adds richness, glitter and movement, it adds effortless mysteriousness. The sea of crocheted gold wire photo consist of dozens of crocheted drop earrings with a pearl, a classic earring design of mine that was bought in high volumes in the beginning of May around Mothers day thanks to a mention in the daily candy , you can read more about that "event" in my post my-marathon-of-crocheting-wire cheers, Yoola
