Arline Fisch is an American artist and educator, her primary education was in arts and later one she studied silversmithing , from reading about her I learned that in addition to her passion to wires we also share the love to the color RED. have you not known this about me ? When I research new designs and make experiments , it is usually in red.
Arline fisch says her work is very much inspired by ancient cultures , especially the egyptian ; 'the visual and psychological impact of such jewelry stimulates my imagination and influences my choice of form, image and material. The scale, the color, the dramatic quality of the ornaments and the simple, direct working of materials to achieve complex results provide inspiration and a standard I strive to achieve."
I especially empathise when she says :"It has also taught me to deal with the technical aspects of metalwork with directness and simplicity, recognizing that technical virtuosity is not an end in itself".
