And the art jewelry adventure continue....
The task for this project went like this, we each had to send ONE of our colleagues an unfinished piece, that person would have to finish it into a wearable piece of jewelry, which means we each also got a piece to finish ...
I sent these 3 wire crocheted piece to Nirit , a glass artist
and got back a structure in which 2 pieces sort of hug one another, the outcome is a 3 dimensional object, rather than the flat ones I have made.
The red piece has been lying in my sample drawers for years , I loved it but never came up with an idea to implement it into something interesting.
It's amazing how such a little trigger such as looking at a piece through someone else eyes can get the heart and head started spinning, as a consequence my fingers couldn't stop crocheting more of these black and white pieces.
This might develop into and extended project as and I have a few pieces still in work , but only one that I feel is ready to go out into the blogosphere .
this is a Black & white chunky statement Bracelet , not for the timid ones... I'm still struggling wiht coming up wiht a name to it , so any ideas would be welcome , I feel it has a Japanese flair to it , anyone else thinks so too ?
The bracelet is made of 4 identical piece connected to one another with 3D printed "nuts" , YES, for this project I recruited the industrial designer in me to give a hand and design the connectors .
I hope you love the direction ,
cheers
