As a young adult I always wanted curls, for a few years I even did something called permanent, I'm not sure its still out there, I think it was very bad for your hair... I remember the horrible smell of some strong chemical that came along with it, I guess it was fashionable at the time, looking back it looks like a very strange thing to do, and besides nowadays straight hair is just fine.
But we are not here for a nostalgic hairstyling journey, we are here to crochet with wires ! and this week, fresh from my hook, camera and keyboard a new partial pattern teaching you how to crochet a lovely curl, which resembles a lot the top of a greek column, hmmm I only now noticed it.
Keep in mind this is a partial pattern, so you do need to know a few things about ISK and my work routine to follow it, both the regular stich and flat stitch :)
click here to get it !
You can make just one and hang or make several identical ones , you can hang them on a telescopic cable chain or on a wire crochet delicate thin tube made of 4 loops.
While coming up with this curlicue It was hard to choose exactly which one to make, because as you will notice when making them , there are more than option to make , the first and most obiosie is to make it asymmetric as opposed to symmetric as I did here.
The curlicue is made using the XXL 84 gates loom, this determines the size of your curlicue...
so... I hope you will love making curlicues !
Love,
