Hi all,
August is here!
The July challenge has come to an end, I was planning on gathering into here what has happened along the month, but it became too tedious... so I'm afraid you will have to scroll through the posts on the YoolaISK group to see it all.
What I will do is post in here the result and last post explaining ho I ended up with this spinner looking bangle
The END- August 1stSo, I finally took the work off the loom, flattened and stretched it, and guess what? It wasn't as long as I had expected. Well, it would've been too long if I wanted to add the 8 rows clasp as in the original YoolaCuff design, but you know me—I prefer wearing my bracelets without them. I like the loose feel and the way they blend with the light textile piece.
Since that was the case, I decided to wire crochet the ends together using a flat stitch, and then I tightened that area with some trusty flat nose pliers.
And here comes the exciting part—wait for it—I transformed it into a cool "spinner" like bangle!
Throughout the challenge, I had my worries about not considering the colors, fearing it would turn into a terrible-looking piece.
But guess what? I'm VERY happy with how it turned out, like, REALLY happy!
It got me thinking that maybe I need to refresh the color palettes in my head. I mean, just look at the result! Or perhaps it's ugly, and I'm just not seeing it?
Ha ha! Feel free to share your opinions, folks.
