well... not really ... all I wanted was to demonstrate variation to the zebra stripes pattern and it turned out very toxic looking because of the wire colors combo...
Originally the zebra pattern was simply one row from one color then a second row in a second color, the result is stunning and changes dramatically according the contrast between the wire colors you choose. I have been teaching this pattern for years now, it was in one of my very first wire crochet tutorials, the yoolatube, then about a year back, I discovered you could do them in almost one draw of your hook, and by that speed up your work significantly.
I was so impressed by this discovery that I made this pattern available for everyone interested in wire crocheting in my ISK technique, for free ! you can find it here :
and only recently thanks to the development of the checkered pattern, or maybe it was the other way round ? well... I'm not quite sure which led to what but the bottom line is that I realized that very easily you can follow the same principals to create wider zebra stripes, I call them the double zebra and the triple zebra patterns. the biggest advantage of these variations are that you get a multicolor pattern without having to cut off and connect wires along the work.
To enable you all to enjoy them I added the variations to the free Zebra pattern listing, click here to get it ! if you downloaded it in the past you should be getting an update directly via the website , didnt get it ? look in your spam folder and also verify your email on the site is updated.
Still have problem ? contact me and I will be happy to solve it.
Love,
Yoola
