Today is International Women's Day, and it's a day for women all over the world to stand up and fight for their rights. In Israel, thousands of women are occupying junctions and roads wearing red to show their solidarity and support for women's equality.
While the fight for equality is always relevant, this year it's more relevant than ever. Despite making great progress in recent years, we are seeing a huge setback in women's representation in Israel. This setback only motivates us to fight harder for our rights and to support each other as a community.
As a jewelry maker specializing in wire crochet, I have built a little feminine community around this simple yet powerful art form. And on this day, I am proud to celebrate the creativity, strength, and resilience of women through my art.
To mark this occasion, I am highlighting some of my past wire crochet creations made in red. Red is a powerful color that represents passion, love, and strength. And what better way to celebrate International Women's Day than by creating something red? Whether you are a jewelry maker or simply someone who enjoys crafting, I hope this inspires you to make something red today.
To all the women out there, let's continue to support each other, fight for our rights, and celebrate our creativity and strength. Happy International Women's Day!
Love,
Yoola
